HOW TO TURN ON THE COMPUTER

Learn how to turn on the PC, how the keyboard and mouse works with a computer, how to adjust the screen display and volume control, and how to start programs from Windows XP. The things on the screen that appear when you turn it on, the Windows XP Desktop and Internet Explorer will be covered. This course is for people who have never touched a computer and there will be plenty of time for questions. Limit 12.

BASIC COMPUTING AND WINDOWS XP

The features of windows that are enhanced by the Windows XP edition will be presented. This course covers the basics of using the Windows XP desktop. It will also teach you about icons, the taskbar, using menus, starting programs, managing windows on the screen and using Windows Help topics. You will learn how to customize the desktop appearance with colors, pictures, sounds, adding and removing icons, managing the start menu list of programs and the taskbar characteristics. Limit 12.

INTRODUCTION TO EXCEL

This course will give you a wonderful start in MS EXCEL, the universal standard for financial record keeping in many homes, small businesses and corporations. Skill topics such as the easy-to-use menu system, screen and print formatting, cell manipulation, plus some of the possible 400 formula constructions will be included.
