New students are welcome to join our High School Equivalency classes at any time during the year. An individualized study plan is designed for each student. Computers and textbooks are used to improve reading, writing and math skills.
GED classes are offered Monday through Friday mornings, 9 A.M. - 12 Noon, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:00-3:00 P.M. and Monday and Wednesday evenings, 6:30 - 9:30 P.M. Beginning June 30, classes will be held Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM-12:00 Noon and Monday and Wednesday evenings, 6:30 - 9:30 PM. All classes meet in Room 204 of the Community Education Building. Classes will not meet May 23, May 26 and July 4.
This program is free and open to all Western New York residents.
GED Examination
The GED exam is offered monthly at the Community Education Building on a Thursday and Friday. Applications are taken during office hours Monday - Thursday, 9 AM - 9 PM and Friday 9 AM - 4 PM. Adults over age 19 may come in and fill out an application. Students age 17 and 18 must bring a completed verification form from their previous high school with the school seal declaring that the student left school over one year ago or that his/her class has graduated. The test is scheduled from 8:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. each day.
