Mathematics and Helping Your Child Learn History are three new publications
from the U.S. Department of Education available free to parents. The mathematics
and science booklets assist parents in preparing children to become critical
thinkers in an increasingly technological world. The history booklet examines
the importance of studying the stories of people and events and the recording of
times past. The booklets, prepared for parents of children ages three to ten,
describe creative activities parents can do with their children. Free copies of
these booklets are available, while supplies last, by calling 1-877-4ED-PUBS.

Parents - Help your child succeed in school! Ask yourself if you did these things today:
Did I make sure my child had a nutritious breakfast?
Did I make sure my child took a healthy lunch to school or had the means to purchase one in school?
Did I ask my child to tell me about his/her day?
Does your child have homework time and a practical place to complete the homework?
Does your child have tests tomorrow? Did your child study for the tests?
Did you and your child read today?
Does your child have a regular bedtime in order to get a good night’s sleep?
